SAIL – Rourkela Steel Plant, under its CSR initiative, awarded Merit-Based Cash Awards totaling Rs. 9.32 lakhs to 463 meritorious students from peripheral villages. The awards were presented on May 30 at the Institute for Peripheral Development, with funds transferred online. Recognizing academic excellence in the 2022-2023 academic year, the awards aimed to encourage continued educational achievements. Students from 42 High Schools and 111 UP Schools received Rs. 3000, Rs. 2000, and Rs. 1000 for first, second, and third positions, respectively.
