NLC India Limited and the Government of Rajasthan have inked an MOU, with distinguished guests including Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Union Ministers Pralhad Joshi and RK Singh. The pact involves a colossal investment exceeding Rs 7000 Crores for a 125 MW Lignite Pit-head Thermal Power Plant and a 1000 MW Solar Power Plant in Bikaner. Aligned with NLC India’s corporate plan, this move aims to reach a 17 GW capacity, with over 6 GW in renewables by 2030. Pralhad Joshi praised the visionary leadership and commitment of PM Narendra Modi and CM Bhajan Lal Sharma. The collaboration also includes MOUs with Coal India Ltd, NTPC, PGCIL, and REC for increased generation capacity, transmission systems, and financing, marking a steadfast stride toward sustainable energy infrastructure and the nation’s ambitious renewable energy targets.
