The AAI initiated ‘Sustainable Green Airport Mission’ SUGAM focuses on promoting the use of renewable energy at all its airports. Under this salient mission, AAI’s Bhubaneswar airport has also entirely switched to Green Power adding it to the list of AAI’s 100% RE Airport.
At the airport, a 4 MW Power plant was recently inaugurated by MP Aparajita Sarangi in the presence of airport director and other officials. The Ground Mounted Solar Power Plant is spread over an area of 13.28 Acres with a project cost of Rs. 18.75 Crore.
