The mining work of NTPC Kerandari Coal Mining Project was successfully inaugurated Regional Executive Director of NTPC Partha Mazumder and Senior Superintendent of Police Manoj Ratan Chothe .
Coal mining work in NTPC Keredari will be done by opencast mining technique. The mine will have a peak production capacity of 6 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). The Kerandari mine will produce high quality coal which will be used for power generation at various NTPC power plants.
