The National Science Day was celebrated at NLCIL in a grand manner to foster the scientific spirit among school students.
Every year, February 28th is being celebrated as “National Science Day” to commemorate the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect’ by Indian physicist Sir C.V.Raman. National Science Day 2023 is marked to raise awareness about the importance of science in people’s daily lives and to recognize all of the activities, projects and achievements in the field of technology that help humanity.
Samir Swarup, Director/HR, NLCIL, inaugurated a Science Exhibition in the presence of C Thiagaraju, ED/IR. Around 22 Neyveli schools participated in the Science Exhibition and 236 models were displayed. The dignitaries visited the Science displays along with the students. The Science Exhibition also continued on 1st March 2023 for public viewing.
The programme culminated with the student’s cultural programme. Headmasters & Headmistresses, Principals, Teachers and around 700 students from various Neyveli Schools participated in the Science Day celebrations.
