Hours later, when Goa Chief Minsiter Manohar Parrikar, on Thursday got discharged from Mumbai's Lilavati hospital, tabled the budget in the state assembly.
Parrikar was facing a serious ailment of pancreatitis for which he was being treated in Mumbai since February 15.
The Budget session of the Goa Legislative Assembly, which began on February 19, saw an unexpected delay in wake of Parrikar's pancreatitis illness.
Speaker Pramod Sawant, who chaired a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC), after Governor Mridula Sinha addressed the House, however had indicated earlier that the Budget would be presented on the last day of the session i.e. February 22.
