Congress president Rahul Gandhi slammed RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and asked RSS’ sorry for his remark saying, our party can do in 3 days what Indian army does in 7 months.

Rahul called it an insult for armymen who have fought for the nation and the disrespect to the dedicated freedom fighters in Indian army.

RSS sanghsarchalak Chief Mohan Bhagwat claimed that his outfit can prepare an "army" within three days, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Monday took to Twitter seeking RSS' apology to the country. In his tweet, Rahul said that Bhagwat's speech was an insult to every Indian as it disrespects those who had laid down their lives for the country. He also added that Bhagwat's statement insulted the National Flag and every soldier who salutes it.

Rahul signed off with the hashtag #ApologiseRSS, indicating that the Congress would be seeking Bhagwat's apology over the remark.

Bhagwat on Sunday had said the organisation has the ability to prepare an "army" to fight for the country within three days, if such a situation arises. The RSS chief said this while addressing the workers at a zilla school ground on the last day of his six-day visit of Muzaffarpur.

"Sangh will prepare military personnel within three days which the army would do in six to seven months. This is our capability. Swayamsewak will be ready to take on the front if the country faces such a situation and Constitution permits to do so," Bhagwat said.

Sangh is neither a military nor a para military organisation, rather it is like a "parivarik sangathan" (family organisation) where discipline is practised like the army, he said adding that workers are always happily ready to make the supreme sacrifice for their country.
