J&K: Three militants killed in encounter in Anantnag

In Jammu and Kashmir, three militants were killed by the security forces in an encounter in Anantnag district of south Kashmir yesterday.

Defence spokesman told that the encounter broke out at around 8 pm at Wanihama village of Anantnag district, following an anti-militancy operation launched by the security forces.He said three militants were killed in the ensuing gunbattle. Two among three killed are believed to be locals and third one a Pakistani.

During the Amarnath yatra, a huge disclosure has been done in the terror attack on the devotees bus. In a note issued by the security agencies on June 16, it has been clearly mentioned that Tazif Sheikh, the terrorist of Hizbul Mujahideen, was preparing for such an attack. Tausif Sheikh is associated with Hizbul Mujahideen, 14 people of his family are a part of Mujahideen. In the report of the security agencies, Tausif was told as a mastermind of the attack almost a month ago.


The note found in reports has written that Jaish-e-Mohammed was involved in the ongoing attacks on the CRPF and the security forces which have been continuing for the last few days in the Valley. Apart from this, Bashir Ahmed of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Tauffe Shaikh of Hizbul Mujahideen were plotting for a major attack for the last one month. He had two small teams with him. The main goal of these two was from Qazigund and Pahalgam to Khanbund.

The name of Ismail was on the top in the list of suspicion!

Earlier, it was being said that the master of the terror attack on the bus of Amarnath in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag was the terror suspect of the Master mind Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Ismail. This led to the assault with his three companions, in which seven passengers died and more than 19 were injured. After this attack, security agencies have been alerted across the country.

Nursing, Architecture course fees to be cut by 50% in Jammu-Kashmir Universities

Kashmir Education Minister Mohammad Atlaf Bukhari announced 50 % fee cut to the students who wish to pursue admissions in Nursing and Architectural courses in constituent colleges of Cluster University Srinagar (CUS) and Cluster University Jammu (CUJ).

In a meeting to discuss the development plans of CUS and CUJ, the Ministry directed the concerned officers to cut down the existing annual fee of Nursing course from Rs65,000 to Rs 32,500 for general category students and Rs 15,000 for those who fall under Below Poverty Line (BPL) category. For the architecture course, the same 50 % cut down in fee structure will be there that is from Rs 1,00,000 to Rs 50,000  for general category and Rs 25,000 for BPL  category.
