Indian Army Patrol Fired In J&k Shopian

Terrorists opened fire at a patrolling party of the Indian Army in Shopian’s Chak Matribugh area. The 62 RR Army patrol was returning from a cordon and search operation when it was fired upon by terrorists.

An army patrol party was fired upon by militants at Mantribugh in Shopian. However, there was no casualty," the Army official told PTI.

Earlier on Friday, the Indian Army foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Gurez sector of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district and killed three terrorists.A Defense spokesperson said the army troops flaked doubtfull movement forth the LoC and repel the terrorists, leading to a gun battle.
